How do I find new influencers?

Use the Smartfluence platform's Influencer Identification module to browse through the 30m+ influencers in our database. You can use a variety of audience filters that will help you narrow down your search results:

  • Industry: Select from a wide list of industries in order to find audiences who are relevant to your industry
  • Comparison Profile: Use the audience profile of a celebrity or brand in order to find lookalike accounts that you can use in your campaigns
  • Influencer Profile Bio Text: This is the best way to find niche-specific influencers - narrow down your search by looking for specific keywords or phrases that an influencer mentions in their profile
  • Audience Location: Search for audiences located in our most searched geographic locations
  • Audience Age: Search for audiences that best match your target age demographics

How do I find new influencers by using a comparison profile?

Simply type in the comparison profile username you are trying to build a lookalike audience for in the box circled in red.

Once entered, a list of relevant influencers will show up based on your comparison profile entry, hit Search. The list of influencers in the results are based on audience similarity - we match multiple factors such as audience demographics, influencer content, and pricing in order to come up with the best influencers for your brand.

Can I find influencers by searching for text in their profile?

You can use the bio text search filter on the influencer identification page in order to narrow your search by keywords and phrases. We recommend using this filter if you have very specific requirements for influencers. Keep in mind, the majority of influencers will not always include specific language in their profile - which is why it is important to broaden your search parameters if you do not find what you are looking for.

Can I filter by audience demographics (gender, age, location, etc.)?

You can use the bio text search filter on the influencer identification page in order to narrow your search by keywords and phrases. We recommend using this filter if you have very specific requirements for influencers. Keep in mind, the majority of influencers will not always include specific language in their profile - which is why it is important to broaden your search parameters if you do not find what you are looking for.

Can I use filters that are influencer profile specific?

Yes! All of the filters we just showed you are specific to the audience of each influencer. Audience demographics are arguably more important as you want to make sure you are targeting the right people. From audience demographics, you can narrow down your search by choosing specific "Influencer" filters. Below are a few influencer filters to consider using:

  • Influencer Location, Age, or Gender: Search for influencers based on specific demographic parameters
  • Has Other Social Media Platforms: If your campaign spans multiple channels, you can narrow down your search to include influencers who are on other social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat and TikTok
  • Niche-specific Targeting: Use the "Industry" filter and "Bio Text" filter in order to narrow down your search based on niche-specific requirements. For example, searching for "Poodle" can allow you to find that specific dog breed within the pet industry.
  • Is Verified: Find influencers who have the blue verified checkmark. These types of influencers are likely more influential in their space.
  • Has Sponsored Posts: Find influencers who have done sponsored posts before. This is often a good way to ensure you are working with experienced influencers.

Can I sort by followers or engagement?

Yes, just select from the options in the "Sort By" drop down and you can sort the list by followers or engagment rate. Keep in mind, in order to sort by "Audience Similarity" a comparsion profile must be used.
